I tried this last Friday at NWC Hospital. Although the taste was a little too “warm” for how hot it was outside, this would be excellent as a hot tea in the Fall and Winter months. I tried it iced & sweet. It was still incredibly refreshing, and the clove/cinnamon flavors were not too overwhelming like I feared they would be. I will definitely be trying the other teas that The Real Mr Tea has to offer!

I thought this was the perfect blend for Autumn with the combination of Oolong, Apple pieces, cinnamon and Maple. The color was a little on the pale side, even more so when adding a splash of organic whole milk but even so I thought the flavor was delicious.

I was so excited to try this tea! After opening the bag, there was a lovely, fragrant maple aroma that filled the air. This tea was so smooth and had a rich sweetness. It was packed full of maple flavor. There was also a hint of spice that complimented the maple flavor so well. I didn’t add anything to this one, I thought it was perfect as is. This tea definitely had me feeling all warm and cozy, it will be perfect to sip on this fall!

I used 1 tsp of tea and steeped at 195° for 3 minutes.

What a perfect blend for this cool morning here in Southwest Michigan. I brewed 1 teaspoon at 195° for 4 minutes, yielding a warm honey-colored liquor. As recommended, I added a teaspoon of brown sugar, which enhanced the experience beautifully. The aromatic blend of apples and cinnamon forms a classic duo, harmonizing seamlessly with notes of cardamom, maple, and clove. With the added sweetness, the flavor transforms into something reminiscent of golden waffles drizzled in syrup. A truly mouthwatering dessert tea.

I started my morning with a cup of this tea alongside a Belgian street waffle (no syrup), and it was the perfect companion for a crisp 59-degree Ohio morning. I steeped 1 teaspoon of tea for 4 minutes and, since I was out of the recommended brown sugar, I sweetened it with agave syrup. The agave worked beautifully, but I can’t wait to try it again with brown sugar to see how it enhances the flavors.
The blend itself is smooth and comforting—the cardamom and maple are subtle, yet distinct enough to gently wake up your taste buds. The ingredients—oolong tea, cinnamon, apple pieces, cardamom, maple flavor, cloves, and safflower—come together seamlessly to create a cup that delivers cozy fall vibes any time of year.

One of the things I love about The Real Mr. Tea is how they highlight the health benefits of each ingredient in their blends—it makes sipping feel a little extra special.

From the moment I opened the package, I was greeted with cozy aromas that carried right through to my cup. The cinnamon and maple stand out the most, creating a warm, sweet fragrance that perfectly matches the flavor. The tea itself is smooth, lightly sweet, and so comforting.

It feels like the kind of tea that could easily become a breakfast companion, but it also shines as a treat any time of day when you want a little comfort in a cup. I can just picture it pairing beautifully with fall favorites like pumpkin bread or apple pie.

Overall, I really enjoyed this blend—it’s one I’d happily reach for again!

Now who can resist a tea blend with the name Waffle House? This blend from The Real Mr Tea features oolong with cinnamon, apple, cardamom, maple, cloves, and safflower, offers a comforting and spiced flavor profile that is truly delicious.

The aroma is that of a sweet, rich scent of maple that fills the air upon brewing, evoking memories of a warm apple pie straight from grandmas oven, or drawing feelings of warmth, sweetness and comfort — making it a favorite for colder months. Overall its scent is sweet and inviting, with a rich depth from the spices and a pleasantly toasted quality from the oolong tea base.

Taste wise it has a complex flavor that has distinct layers, notably from the warm spices to the fruity notes and a rich, dessert-like finish. The addition of maple and apple provides a sweetness that pairs well with the spicy notes with a naturally buttery note smoothness.

The tea leaves a lingering, sweet, and spiced aftertaste that dances on the tongue . While it was great without the addition of brown sugar, I think adding it would completely take it to the next level.

It provides the perfect way to start your day and is likely to be enjoyed by fans of sweet, spiced dessert teas, particularly those who appreciate warm, autumnal flavors.

I tried this one hot and cold-brewed. From the pouch, I get hit with strong maple syrup scent, aka waffle. As a hot brew, this is so yummy and really gets me in that fall mood! This is a smooth medium bodied oolong tea with notes of waffle—maple, cinnamon, spice. I loved this one so much, and I love the choice of oolong here over black tea—it really complements the spices so well.

I also cold brewed this my normal way (two heaping tea-spoons of tea in my vessel). This is yet another cold-brew winner from The Real Mr. Tea. For some odd reason, when this is cold-brewed, it is liquid French toast, ha! I would say, for me, this is more waffle-essence when cold brewed. I get tons of maple here with the cinnamon as an accompaniment. This was so good cold, and I’m sure this would make a fantastic iced latte!

    This was so delicious!

On first open of the bag of waffle house, I got a lovely whiff of sweet apple and waffles with maple syrup. It automatically brought up the aura of cozy fall desserts. I tried the blend both hot with sugar syrup sweetener and cold brewed plain and enjoyed it both ways. The flavor was true to the name. I preferred it slightly as cold brew because it was more naturally sweet. I am normally sensitive to maple flavors but this one was very well balanced and I appreciated the touch of apple and spices to round out the flavor. It definitely made me crave a sweet waffle breakfast!
